UWIC 27 v NARBERTH 28
The students made a bright start with a 40 metre penalty from centre, Matt McClean and were playing with confidence. All action hooker, Ken Owens, then stormed through with a bullocking solo effort from half way to score an unconverted try. A break from full back, Martyn Thomsa, then led to a try from centre, Pat Foreman and McClean added a penalty to make the half time score 16-6 in the students favour.
UWIC continued their expansive game in the second half with a strong scrimmage and line -out which produced a try from prop, Huw Gustaffson, converted by outside half, Tom Hancock.Hancock then extended UWIC's lead with a well taken try.
With 10 minutes to go the students were leading 28-6 and looked in control but Narberth hit back with three converted tries in quick succession.
At that stage it looked as if UWIC was going to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory but the referee blew his whistle after Narberth's final converted try.
