UWIC RFC Presentation Dinner

This years Dinner was held at Cyncoed on Friday 11th May 2007 where a number of presentations were made to players who have excelled throughout the season, they were:

UWIC RFC PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2006/7

This years recipient of the coveted Leighton Davies Award was

PLAYERS PLAYER OF THE SEASON

Martin WEBDALE

Receives his award from Mr Kevin Edwards, ex-student and former UWIC player, and himself the 1st recipient of the Student's Union Sports Personality Award

MOST IMPROVED PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Glyn HOOSON-OWEN

Receives his award from Mr Byron Lloyd, ex-student and Former Player.

2ND XV PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Tom CHEESEMAN

Receives his award from 2nd XV Coach Dr Ian Pritchard

3RD XV PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Owain TUDUR

Receives his award from 3rd XV Manager Mr John Rawlins

FRESHERS PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Simon HUMBERSTONE

Receives his award from Freshers coach Mr Ryan Harris

CLUBMAN OF THE YEAR

Dafydd JAMES

Receives the Neville Gaunt Memorial Trophy from Neville's son Mr William Gaunt

PLAYER OF THE MATCH AWARD

After each match, players, committee and supporters were asked to vote for their player of the match. After the 22 league matches the votes were counted and this year there was a tie between

Alan AWCOCK and Martin WEBDALE.

 Both are seen receiving their award from Mr Keri Lowe, ex-student and Former player.
